Dolls, Baby!

I spend this afternoon changing some of my boys out of their Halloween costumes and into something more appropriate for this weather. Verlaine tossed his headcap off several times, as did a couple of the other boys. But he didn't try to get any more violent than that. Maybe the fairy outfit worked!

Changing Marley's claws back to hands took forever. I got the claws off without any problems but it took ages to get his hands back on. Because of problems with removing the S-hooks when I was originally putting the claws on, poor Jinx had to sacrifice his hand to the cause. So I put his hand back on first, then did Marley's. It was only when I'd finished that I realised I'd put one of Marley's hands on Jinx, which meant they've got one odd coloured hand each. I couldn't face changing the hands again, so they'll have to live with it for now.

I have my new Little Fee Bisou - and he's too cute. However, spending this afternoon changing the other boys meant I didn't get to take any pics. But maybe I will get to that soon.

In other news, this heat has made my net connection dodgy and patchy and not much fun at all. A cool change would be just brill about now.

I hate it and it's only just begun. Right now I'm sitting in the lounge room using the laptop. This room has *the* best a/c. I think I'll pull out the sofa bed and sleep in here tonight, too. I'm sure to get a better sleep than last night.

Also, when it's this hot, I worry about my dolls. Please don't melt, boys!

I was going to post some Halloween pics while I had a few moments spare, but LJ is being just crazy for me. LJ cuts don't work and my previews are showing up in one of my other LJ accounts :( I can only see the entries on my current page then 3 Previous entries. Something's not right. I'll try again later. He arrived today and he's just gorgeous! Erm, he has no clothes, except a Halloween pumpkin shirt and the clothes I did order weren't posted until yesterday so they won't be here until next week. He'll have to borrow some of Jericho's clothes for pics. But David took the camera to my mum's and hasn't brought it back. More to the point, he took both memory cards, so I can't even use my little Kodak.

No name for him, either, yet - poor unexpected kid!

I worked out when Bory would ship and it wasn't Tuesday 3 November. I love you Luts - but I had no clothes for Bory-boy. I've just made a hurried purchase that I hope will be okay. It's not the outfit I would have preferred but they don't have that one in stock and I need clothes fast.

Meanwhile, I still haven't heard from DDE regarding my lay-away or the 2nd layaway order I placed. I'd jog their memory, but I am so broke right now it's not funny.

And when is DOA going to ship the Dollheart Homme Fers? I is waiting!

A quick note to say thanks to talithax for hosting a Halloween mini-meet on Saturday. I wanted Verlaine to hold up a "Thank You" poster, but he's still sulking about being bald and in a fairy outfit. Lucah is still drinking, traumatised by his narrow escape. Everyone else seems fine - hehehehe.

So far my week's leave has been spent helping David with his boys who were here for four days and assignments, homework and study! I received a new wig a couple of days ago and I still haven't had time to take any pics :(

I put a sewing machine on lay-by today! Like I don't have enough things on lay-by, but it was half price and I don't have one.

I finally saw the tax agent tonight and I'll be getting enough back to buy that lawn mower I need. Lucky me! But we really do need one. Up until a couple of weeks ago, the grass out the back was so high we were afraid to let the kids go out in the yard in case we could never find them again. We had to hire a weed whacker to cut the grass :(

If I knock over section 4 and 5 of my computing lessons tomorrow I might allow myself some dollie time - but not too much because that Litigation assignment won't do itself!

Gah! I can't wait for this semester to be over!

If I kill my lecturer, will they let me have my dolls in prison? No? Bugger!

And more joy. We have a house inspection next week and our backyard looks like a jungle! I have to hire a weed wacker or whatever it's called so we can clean up the yard. *cries*

We'll have to spruce up inside and outside the house because, god knows, they'll find something to complain about. Last time we were told we should cut the lawn shorter (<*>.<*>) So, between the house cleaning, the yard tidying and homework, looks like no dollie time for me *cries some more*

Well, his attitude hasn't gotten any better, I must say. He tried to break my nose today, missed by an inch or so. I'd only taken one pic! Retribution was making him pose for more pics. Here are a couple where he shows off his blue eyes and his on-loan kimono (he wants to know when he's getting his own).

I took myself and my Yeon-ho B, now named Verlaine, to talithax's house today to try out some wigs and blue eyes. We didn't get any further than the wigs and had much fun in trying out the different looks the wigs gave my newest boy. Verlaine, sadly, seems bereft of a sense of humour and I swear I've never seen such a pissed off doll as when I put this burgundy/brown wig on his head. So that one was taken off and put away pretty quickly (once we'd had a laugh at his expression!).

While we were there, talithax tried a kimono on him and he looked fantastic. We did a wig-swap and Verlaine scored a lovely black wig that suited his oriental look better than the blond wig he'd arrived in. I think that's definitely his look, so I'm scouring doll sites looking for kimonos for him. Strangely enough, I was considering getting a kimono for my DOT elf just the other week. However, he's on a DOT body so I'd have to be careful with length on him.

I'd bought some blue glass eyes from Sunny on eBay and tonight I swapped out Verlaine's green eyes and put in the blue. They look great. However, Verlaine is being an arse. After I'd put his head and wig back on, he tossed the wig off his head and onto the ground and looked extremely grumpy again. He's now sitting in the display cabinet until his grumpiness wears off. Hmmm, wonder if I should lock that cabinet, he *does* know where I sleep. Hehehehee.

His behaviour is why I didn't take any pics of him. Oh and the fact that when I put his wig back on after changing his eyes, it didn't sit right :( I will have to wrestle with it again tomorrow.

I've ordered the Kernaghan outfit from Denver Doll which I'll buy on lay-by. I wish that outfit had a different name, though, - it reminds me of the country and western singer :(

Fairyland have released their new Bisou dolls and I'm calculating my dollars trying to see if I can put one on lay-by with DDE. Wren wants a buddy/brother/whatever.

But if I put one on layby, what about that stunning outfit I want? Arggghhh!

Oh, I just had a great idea. Tax refund. I need to make an appointment and get my taxes done!

I didn't notice it until I was taking some pics today, but my! Yeon-Ho boy's face-up is glittery. It's not something that's blindingly obvious just looking at him, but when you use flash...( shiny )

I finally got to open the package around 9.30pm or so last night. I think they were rather generous with the eye make-up but he's still beautiful. Right now, his body is sitting behind me, fully dressed, but I still want to try some eyes and wigs on the head to see what he can wear until my visit with talithax. After that, I hope to have a much better idea of what suits him. Can't wait for work to be over tomorrow so I can start messing with his head again!

Oh yeah, finally! There was a card in the letterbox when I got home and it can only be the head - huzzah! David will pick it up tomorrow but I have TAFE after work, so I won't get to see him until around 9.00pm :( Looks like tonto65's 'HURRY UPs' worked!

I ordered the fer - and now I'm going to put down a deposit on a Dollheart Kernaghan outfit *sigh* But it's too good to pass up. Me, my wallet, my bank account - doomed, I tell ya! ::scowls at talithax

I had a great time visiting with talithax and her increasing coven today. Lucah survived the indignity of being carted about in a cooler bag and I did let him ride home in Raiden's Iplehouse bag so I think I'm forgiven.

I took my camera but forgot to take any pics.

talithax told me about the boy fer and I am seriously thinking about ordering one. I need another stylish outfit in black.

Meanwhile, no word from Crobi and the wait continues. His face-up better be gorgeous when he gets here!

I had a dream last night that the delivery man who was bringing me my Crobi head was standing on my front verandah eating a sandwich. I want my head! I checked the Crobidoll site and it's 30-40 business days before they ship so I've got about 10 more business days of waiting left.

I'm so excited about getting this boy...not sure why, it's not like he has the wig or eyes I want for him...still I can't wait for him to get here.

My package from Sunny arrived today. Lovely t-shirt and cardigan. The wig, however, is not quite what I was expecting. It's a fur wig with synthetic extensions down the back. I think I'll try to remove those because they're a different red. But I'm happy with what I got, now if only the head would turn up! Hurry up Crobidoll.

Waiting for word from Crobidoll about my boy's head. I'm actually getting impatient and I'm usually pretty good with waiting but...I want him now! My eagerness is probably being fanned by the fact the body is here and I want a complete doll. I guess I could dress the body, ready for the head.

All the boots fit my non-DOD boys beautifully and I think, for the first time, I have enough boots and dress shoes for them all. Happiness ^__^

Now I want some bright blue eyes for my new boy. I suspect he will be a blue-eyed blond. In which case I will need a new wig but I want to try a couple of the wigs I already have on his head (when it gets here) before buying any more wigs.

Second job - I need it - hehehehehehe!

I received an email from Fantasy Doll on Tuesday saying my body had been shipped. Joy! Wednesday, there was a pick-up slip from the Post Office in my letterbox! That was fast! My new body is strung a little tightly but that will wear off with time.

My boots from Mimiwoo also arrived. They look great! Can't wait until tomorrow night when I will get some time to spend working out who gets what. Sorry, DOD boys, these boots are for dollies with normal-sized feet.
